Accountability. Hard, truthful, in your face accountability. Where has that gone? We are so used to living our comfortable lives, not ruffling feathers or making waves. Just pretending things aren't going on. That sin, not just occasional, but continual, habitual sin doesn't exist. Or that we're so immune to it that we don't even notice it anymore. Or are we so afraid of confrontation these days that we just let everything slide. I know I'm not perfect, so please tell me what I need to work on. Do it in private, and with tact, according to scripture. I would rather know that you love me enough to risk losing our friendship to save me from something, than to know that you cared more about your comfort zone to step out and confront a sister. Lately I have been looking at the subject of hypocricy, well its not an easy subject to handle... if you ask me its one of those you periodicaly fall into and ask whether you can fully come out of it. Ok so whats the definition of Hypocricy? Look at some of the following definitions; 1. A pretense of having a virtuous character, moral or religious beliefs or principles, etc., that one does not really possess. 2. A pretense of having some desirable or publicly approved attitude. well looking at the above definitions, we find that Hypocricy transcends the pretense that we carry in religion, yet as we will see, it is more prone in our day and time when we are talking of religious issues.
