Providence

God has in the past worked in many ways, two unique ways he has done so are, (1) is out of His providence, He has made certain dealings with Humanity in the past become a source of learning a general principle in life. This can be seen in the lives of people where he gave them a promise and their responsibility was to engage faith. For example Abram, He is given a promise, and all is needed for him to enter the hall of faith is simple obedience. Notice here that God does not change, he is bound by his word and promise, but he is under no obligation to carry out the promise if the subject does not respond in faith. (2) The other way God does things out of his providence is to do something or order an event in history that is not pegged to a promise per se, e.g in prayer, God can chose ( providentialy) to answer in a unique way, e.g Isaac's wife, and the prayer of the servant, or Gideon and the signs he needed from the Lord.
