I Love You Enough To Lose You
Accountability. Hard, truthful, in your face accountability. Where has that gone? We are so used to living our comfortable lives, not ruffling feathers or making waves. Just pretending things aren't going on. That sin, not just occasional, but continual, habitual sin doesn't exist. Or that we're so immune to it that we don't even notice it anymore. Or are we so afraid of confrontation these days that we just let everything slide. I know I'm not perfect, so please tell me what I need to work on. Do it in private, and with tact, according to scripture. I would rather know that you love me enough to risk losing our friendship to save me from something, than to know that you cared more about your comfort zone to step out and confront a sister. We are called to love each other in TRUTH. What happened to that? Why are we so afraid of upsetting others? You know that darkness (sin) hates the light (exposure).
